Pregnant on IMVU + Today's outfit
Hello humans!
As some of you may know, I'm currently pregnant on IMVU.
Sadly IMVU pregnancies can sometimes be the death of your "fashion mind", I've always struggled during my pregnancies in the past to find inspiration and good-looking maternity clothes.
I usually end up with a pretty boring outfit, but every now and then I get that fling of inspiration and comes up with an outfit that I'm really proud of.
My top 5 best tricks on how to boost your pregnancy outfit are the following:
1. Use layerable jackets and cardigans - Most pregnancy clothes are often a top&bottom combined, which can make the outfit look very uncommitted and dull. The best way to prevent this is to add an extra product, preferably a layerable one which will make the outfit look more original.
2. Accessories! - I think this trick describes itself pretty well. Accessories will always give something extra to a boring outfit.
3. Place the attention elsewhere - When you want a smashing outfit, but you don't have the clothes for it, then you have a perfect opportunity to let another product be the star of your outfit. Wear a crazy hairstyle that you've never dared to use before, or apply some bright purple lipstick, or why not use some high heeled boots?
4. Dare to look sexy - Even If you're pregnant you still have the right to look sexy. When I say sexy I don't necessarily mean short dresses and skirts.. That's tacky, not sexy. But It's more than okay to make an edgy pregnancy look with a leather jacket or fitted clothes.
5. Think outside of the box - This trick is connected to the one above. You easily step into this bubble when creating pregnancy outfits, thinking that everything needs to look cute and in the same style as your previous outfits (and most preferably from the same creator/s). But no! Go and search for new creators in the shop, get inspiration and get creative. Fashion should always be fun regardless if you have a big belly, or not!
